A. GET STARTED

Step 1 – Register

You can register as a Basic Member for FREE in just a few minutes. You simply need to (i) enter your name, (ii) enter your username (i.e. your email address) and password and (iii) agree to the Terms of Use of our website. Once you register, you can access MatchB2B’s e-bidding platform and begin posting RFBs.

To register as a Premium Member, follow the above same process.  You’ll also be asked to choose a subscription fee.

Click here to register as a Basic Member or Premium Member.

Step 2 – Create a Profile

Once registered, you will need to create a Profile.  You can include as much or as little information as you like in your Profile, and you can update it at any time. For businesses, freelancers and government agencies, the information you include in your Profile will be included in the Members Directory for other members to view.  This is a great way to advertise your business or agency and make contacts. However, if you would prefer any such information to be kept confidential, you can simply indicate this preference in your Privacy Settings.  For individuals who just want to use MatchB2B to find a supplier or service provider, your Profile will not be included in the Members Directory.

Step 3 – Use MatchB2B’s Services

You’re ready to start using MatchB2B’s services!  Both FREE Basic Members and subscribed Premium Members can, among other things: search and view RFBs in the Marketplace; post RFBs; search and view other members’ Profiles in the Members Directory; create your personal Network of members; use our online Forums; advertise on MatchB2B; and subscribe to our monthly newsletters.  In addition, Premium Members now have the ability to place bids and win work.

B. POST A RFB

Step 1 – Post a RFB

All registered members can post a Request for Bid (“RFB”) at any time by clicking “Post RFB” on your Member’s Home Page. You will be prompted to fill out the online RFB form with information about your service or product needs.

If you’d like to keep your identity confidential when posting your RFB, remember to go to your Privacy Settings and indicate this preference. If you do not do this, Premium Members who are placing bids will be able to see your information. We suggest that you keep your identity confidential until you have received bids from interested suppliers and service providers.

Step 2 – Save your RFB as a draft

If you do not have time to finish creating your RFB in one sitting, you can save it as a draft at any time, and then complete and post it later on.

Step 3 – Edit your RFB

You can edit your RFB at any time before or after you post your RFB (although you cannot edit your RFB once a bid has been placed on it).  To do this, just click “Edit RFB” when viewing your RFB.

Step 4 – Receive and Compare Bids

After you post your RFB, you can view all bids received by clicking on your Member’s Home Page.  In addition, you can create a Bid Comparison Table by clicking on “Compare Bids” in order to easily compare bids side-by-side.

Step 5 – Shortlist Bids

You may want to shortlist bids that you particularly like. To do this, simply click on “Shortlist Bid”.  These shortlisted bids will then be identified in the Bid Comparison Table that you can view by clicking “Compare Bids”.

Step 6 – Contact Bidders During the Bid Process

During the bid period, you can email any bidder, through MatchB2B, to ask further questions about their bid.  If you have chosen to keep your information confidential in your Privacy Settings, bidders can respond to you through MatchB2B but will not have access to your name or email address.

Step 7 – Choose Your Winning Bidder

Once your bid has expired, you will receive an email from us that lists all of the bids you received.  You can indicate which of your bidders are 'winning bidder' or 'unsuccessful bidders' and we will email them to let them know.  If you choose any winning bidders, you should then get in contact with them to discuss their bid and to decide whether or not you want to enter into an agreement with them. Any decision to enter into an agreement is made independently of, and outside, MatchB2B.  Bids placed through MatchB2B are non-binding.

C.  PLACE A BID

Step 1 – Find RFB

Search our Marketplace and find RFBs that interest you. You can search by industry, keyword, buyer’s name and/or time period in which the RFB was posted.  Click on any RFB to see its full details.

Step 2 – Bookmark RFBs

You can bookmark any RFB that you find in our Marketplace. That way, you can always come back to it at a later time to place a bid.  All of your bookmarked RFBs appear on your Member’s Home Page.  Simply click “My Bookmarks” under the My Marketplace Tools bar.

Step 3 – Place a Bid

When you find a RFB that you want to place a bid on, simply click “Place a Bid” when viewing that RFB. This will prompt you to fill out the online e-bid form. The e-bid form is broken into convenient sections detailing the buyer’s requirements (eg. payment terms, delivery details, etc).  You can either (i) agree to include some or all of the buyer’s details in your bid or (ii) customize details for your bid. Once finished, simply submit your bid.  Your bid is non-binding and no contract is created by your submission.

If you are registered as a Basic Member, we will prompt you to upgrade your membership at this time to become a Premium Member so that you can place your bid.

Step 4 – Save your Bid as a draft

If you do not have time to finish creating your bid in one sitting, you can save it as a draft at any time, and then complete and submit it later on.

Step 5 – Liaise with the Buyer

During the bid process, you can email the member who posted the RFB by clicking “Contact Buyer” above the My Marketplace Tools bar.  The identity of the member who posted the RFB is kept confidential, unless that member specifically elected otherwise.

Step 6 – Move forward with the Buyer

At the end of the bid period, we will email you to let you know whether or not the buyer has chosen you as a winning bidder.  If the buyer has chosen you as the winning bidder, the buyer will get in contact you. You and the buyer are then free to decide whether or not you want to enter into an agreement with each other. Any such decision is made independently of, and outside, MatchB2B.
